elf Sea Escape and Stamping

I just have a quick post tonight.  I've done a bunch of stamping manis lately, so I hope y'all don't mind.  Especially since I have only been using one plate, QA88 from Born Pretty Store.  I really need to get some more stamping plates!

For this mani, I started with a base of elf Sea Escape, a blackened teal with teal glitter.  This polish is super pretty in the sun!  I then stamped using Sally Hansen Pumping Iron over top.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!  I promise I am slowly but surely working my way back in to blogging.  I am actually considering redesigning the blog, which will maybe push me to be more on the ball with blogging.  Thank you for sticking with me regardless!  And as always, you can follow me on Instagram at @partlycloudylacquer.

Zoya Savita with Stamping

Today I have a mani "from the vault" so to speak.  Most of my posts in the coming weeks will be from when I took a break from blogging and was just doing my nails.  I've kind of decided to so nail art I enjoy, instead of stressing myself out about completing challenges.  I enjoy some of the more relaxed prompts like #HePicksMyPolish.

I had picked up a bunch of polishes on clearance at Ulta back in January.  One that I picked out was Zoya Savita, from the Matte Velvet collection they re-released last fall.  I really wanted a few others, but I knew Savita was definitely one I couldn't live without.  I started with a base of Savita, before stamping with Ulta Tutu Cute.  I then topped the whole thing with China Glaze Fairy Dust and finished it off with Seche Vite for a quick dry.

I absolutely loved this look!  Savita is exactly my favorite shade of purple.  I stamped using Born Pretty Store plate QA88, which I reviewed in a previous post.  It is definitely my favorite stamping plate that I own and I really want to expand my stamping plate collection.

#HePicksMyPolish March 2015

Hello!  Long time no see readers!  I took a bit of hiatus during February as I just kind of lost my mojo for blogging.  I still did my nails, so luckily I have a bit of a backlog on posts for you.  I just didn't have the motivation to edit pictures and write posts.  But I'm back!  Though, I may be taking it slow in the beginning.  Today I have March's installment of #HePicksMyPolish.

My boyfriend has gotten very involved with not only picking the polish, but now he designs the manicure as well.  Apparently I did not execute this one the way he wanted, so neither of us were a big fan of the result.

The polishes he picked are Louboutin Rouge Red and Zoya Sunshine.  I was instructed to use Rouge Red as my base and then use the french tip nail vinyls from Nails Redesigned that he got me for Christmas, and affix them at an angle across the nail.  I was then to apply Sunshine on top.  I'm not sure what it was supposed to look like, but I'm not a fan of this look.  But here it is anyway!

Hope y'all have a good weekend!  We will be going to visit my parents for a combo birthday party for my brother, my boyfriend, and myself.  Nothing like celebrating your birthday for three months!
